Construction of the school building was to start in early May 2020, with completion expected in September later this year.
A group of enthusiastic volunteers was ready to put their shoulders to the wheel and kick off this beautiful project in cooperation with the local inhabitants of Bolera Village.
The developments surrounding the spread of the coronavirus have made us decide, with pain in our hearts, to postpone the construction of this project until April 2021. There is no possibility to start this project later this year because of the rainy season that starts in October and lasts until March.
From our role as the foundation, we will continue to be actively involved in the developments in Malawi and will continue to make preparations for Bolera, as well as new projects that we would like to take up later on, because we have one ambition: "Education for every child". The coronavirus is a difficult - if tricky - situation for all of us. Nevertheless, we are not giving up.
